                                                            Suicide

Kota, Rajashthan

It was 3rd year of his drop for IIT after secondary education. Last 2 years he tried to persuade his father that this is something he is not looking for and he would not be able to crack it.

One year back, in Bhopal

I can’t do it dad, I can’t. Last year’s marks near to the cut-off were a coincidence. I didn’t solve a single question but guessed all the answers. Please dad, I don’t want to repeat it.

You have to! Replied, Mr. Mathur.

What people will think? What he did there for 2 years? You’ll be called as a failure. You have spent enough time preparing for this exam and now you are near to the success. Just give one more try my son and see, you’ll become an IITian. IITian Rohit.

But I’m not interested in engineering and IIT. I always think about business and want to become an entrepreneur. If I’ll spend this much time in business I’ll surely do great, dad.

No! What business? Do you have that much capital to invest? And from where this things came to your mind? Asked his dad.

Dad, the coaching classes are looting a lot of money from us. They are clearly doing business. If you allow me to use the same money in my business idea, I’ll surely make you proud.

You can make me proud only by being an IITian. Am I clear?

His mom tried to weigh up his dad, but he said, tomorrow you are going again and this year, I’m sure you’ll do it. And think about Mohit, he got 99% in maths and 97% in science. He will also follow you after his 12th and you’ll be his inspiration.

Kota, Today

30 out of 200 in class were happy after this year’s result. Some of them became IITians, other became NITians and the rest were getting motivation lecture from the faculty to continue it for next year.

Rohit congratulated his best friend Kabir for his selection in IIT Kharagpur and left for his room.

He tore down a paper from his notebook and wrote:

Hello dad, this time again I’m far away from the cut-off of all colleges. I told you that I am not able to crack it. Now following the legacy of the frustrated kids, I’m also going far away from this world. I won’t hang myself here to this fan because mom would not be able to see my death body. But it doesn’t mean that I’ll be alive after this. I am a failure and you won’t be able to see me with this tag. My next step is just towards the end of my life but please don’t search for me as you won’t be able to do that. I love you, as you always wanted me to be successful person in my life. I love you mom for you unconditional love and care. I am really a bad boy as I am leaving only tears for you. I love you Mohit, I hope you’ll live your life in your own way. Stay blessed and don’t cry. You are my strong boy. Take care of mom and dad. Bye.

He kept the letter on the study table and placed his phone on it after switching it off and left the room.

Bhopal

His parents were worried as he was out of reach after the result. Mohit called his friends and teachers but they didn't pick up. They all were in a huge tension. Finally they booked a cab and left for Kota. It was just 6 hours journey from Bhopal to Kota.

I told you to not put pressure on him, his mother was screaming with a cry.

He might be in fear of telling us. He can't do anything wrong. Believe me, said his father to clam-down the situation.

His mom was crying continuously, scolding his dad and praying to the God at the same time. They were just 1 hour away now.

Silence, please. Kabir is calling, said Mohit and gave the phone to his father.

Hello?

Hello Kabir, Rohit's father this side. Where is Rohit, beta?

I'm sorry uncle but Rohit couldn't make it again this year.

I'm not asking for his result my son. Just asking, where is he? His phone is switch off from morning.

Uncle he left from coaching after the result only. Oh shit! Kabir said in worried manner. Uncle I'm leaving for his room right now. Please don't worry. I will call you back once I reach there.

Yes beta, please go fast and see. Call me as soon as possible. We are just half an hour away from Kota.

Okay Uncle.

They all reached at his room at the same time. Kabir saw their car and stopped to open the gate for his dad. They jumped towards the first floor and saw the room locked. Kabir saw the key outside the door so he picked it up and opened the room.

First they felt happy of not seeing anything wrong but suddenly his father's gaze went on the letter. He read the letter and suddenly called police regarding the matter. His mother started crying again by calling Rohit's name. They all were calling his friends to ask if they saw him and were waiting for police to come.

Pachmarhi Suicide Point, Madhya Pradesh

Pachmarhi is a famous tourist place in Madhya Pradesh but the suicide point of Pachmarhi is among the most dangerous places in India. It is said that, you can't find the person who commit suicide from this place. Rohit used to know this place very well as it was very near to Bhopal.

He was about to jump after thinking all goods and bads of his life. As soon as he took his step back to jump, an old and tired voice stopped him. The voice was very low that only he could listen to it. The old voice started saying...

'He also came here to end his life. Tired of all wrong happened to him. All he wanted was to become a hero in Bollywood. He got the chance but big faces of industry felt that he will ruin their career. They tortured him in a way that no one can imagine and made him leave the industry for them.'

Who are you? And where you are? Asked Rohit.

He left Mumbai and directly came here to end the story of the hero. THE END, said the old man in a loud voice.

There was silence after that. Deep silence.

Who was telling the story? And whose story was it anyway? The words fluttered and flew in the wind.

Are you there? Did he commit suicide after that? And who are you? Are you listening to me?
The thought of committing suicide flew away from Rohit's mind for a while. Thousands of questions were coming to his mind for the voice he had just listened. The voice was so echoed that he couldn't understand from where it was coming.

Hello! Why are you not answering me? What the hero did after that? He sat down on the rock form where he was about to jump few minutes back.

He also sat down on the same rock like you, the old man said again.

The hero gave himself a thought that, why people call Bollywood people ‘hero’? They don't do things which hero should do. Why I was running behind that fake identity called ‘hero’. They tortured me to run away from their industry. Real heroes don't do such things. There are other ways to become a hero. I am a hero and I will die as a hero.

Then? Asked Rohit.

From that time the hero is saving life of people who come here to commit suicide. Today again he saved a beautiful life.

Wow! It's you right? Asked surprised and smiling Rohit.

It's such an inspirational story sir. From how long you are doing this? Where are you right now? How can you see me? In a row he asked so many questions.

When I came here to end my life, I was 32, said the old man.

And how old are you now?

After 2 days I'll become 92. You have given me a beautiful gift in advance. Promise me you won't come across this thought again and will return to your home.

Sir, happy birthday in advance but I don't want to go back home. I know my family will be in great trouble right now but I can't go back.

That's your choice; I don't want to intervene in your personal matter. Live your life in your own way. Enjoy this precious gift of God. Do something good.

Sir, may I ask you something?

Yes, please.

Do you mind if I join you to continue this humanitarian work? As you said, do something good, I'll feel happy by doing this and helping you.

No boy, you are young. My life is not that good here. All I love here is saving people only otherwise I would have left this place long ago.

But sir, if you would not have stopped me, I would have ended my life till now. Now I want to spend my life here with you to contribute in your work. If you won't allow me it would not be possible for me to give you the birthday gift.

No, no! If you really want to spend your life like this, I can't stop you. But if you ever feel that you want to go home, you immediately can. Anytime. No force from my side.

He followed the path told by the old man and reached in a dark cave just a few meters away from the rock he was standing on. He saw an old mic and a little loudspeaker that was placed beneath the rock he was standing on. The old man could see anyone on that hill from a little window in the cave and can talk to them using his sound arrangement.

Who made this arrangements for you?

This mic is from my theatre days and these two speakers I bought from the market. One for the person standing there and one for me. There is one more microphone beneath that rock so that I can listen to the person standing there.

Amazing! You are a real life hero sir. I salute you.

Days went by. Months went. He started loving his routine and talking to the people. The old man used to tell him stories about the people he has saved life of. But he never asked him the reason of his suicide.

It's been 4 years now. The old man became seek. Now Rohit has the responsibility of people and also of the old man.

One fine day, after giving medicine to the old man, he was peeping from the window. He was happy that no one came that day for suicide. He was thinking about the day he first heard the old man and how he saved his life. He was thanking God and the old man for his new life and was also praying for old man's good health. And suddenly his glance reached to someone standing on the hill to commit suicide the next moment. He couldn't scream. He found himself mum. How it may happen? God is really unfair. He wanted to shout to stop him but his voice converted into a deep cry. The storm of the ocean of tears came out of his eyes, which was calm from very long time. He cried out loud and shouted, Noooooooooooo! Stop!

Mohit heard the voice and stopped at his point.

Who is there? Asked Mohit.

There was silence and a shallow cry.

Who are you? And why are you crying? Asked Mohit.

A tired and old voice replied:

'He also came here to end his life. Tired of all wrong happened to him. All he wanted was to become a hero in Bollywood. He got the chance but big faces of industry felt that he will ruin their career. They tortured him in a way that no one can imagine and made him leave the industry for them.'

It's such an inspirational story sir. From how long you are doing this? Where are you right now? How can you see me? In a row he asked so many questions like his brother.

When I came here to end my life, I was 32, said the old voice.

And how old are you now?

After 2 days I'll become 96.

Happy birthday sir, in advance. You saved my life and told me your beautiful and inspirational story.

Thank you beta for listening to me. Now I want a gift from you for my birthday.

Sure sir, please tell me. I would also like to meet you.

No I don't meet people. But I want a promise from you that you won't think about quitting this beautiful life again. Enjoy this precious gift of God. Do something good. Help your family; they might be in trouble because of you. You should go back home.

Mohit was crying. He was missing his home.

Yes sir, my mom would be crying a lot like she cried when my brother left us.

Don't think about the person who left you instead you should take care of your mom who is taking care of you and living her life just for you.

Yes sir, thank you for opening my eyes. I shall return now.

And with tears in his eyes he went back from the hill.

Rohit sighed and turned with lots of tears in his eyes.

The old man was looking at him from behind while he was mimicking him from last 2 hours.

He hugged Rohit and told, you are a real life hero my boy. I salute you.

But still if you want to go back with your brother this is a good time.

Sir, my parent's one child is there to take care of them but God want their second child to be here to take care of a great soul and to save life of many people, he smiled while wiping all his tears.

The old man was praising him for today's work and suddenly Rohit shouted at someone...

                                          Noooooooooooooo!!! Stop!!!!

This time I got a mail from Atul Dislay (a close friend from NIT Allahabad). He sent 4 books and recommended to read all. One of the book among them was "Who moved my cheese" by Spencer johnson co-author of  The One Minute Manager ~ (Blanchard & Johnson, 1983)' and The One Minute Sales Person ~ (Johnson & Wilson, 1984)'. Just few days before this mail, I heard about this book from my cousin and a friend, that it's a great book. The book was published in 1998 and contains only 96 pages.

Who Moved My Cheese? is often distributed by managers to employees as a motivational tool, but the lessons it teaches can benefit literally anyone, young or old, rich or poor, looking for less stress and more success in every aspect of work and life. This book has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and has been translated in 42 different languages. The story is very short that I completed it in the process of document verification in passport office Bhopal. But the lesson from the book is not comparable to the size of the book.

Lets first meet to the Characters of the Story...

Who moved my cheese? offers you four imaginary characters and they are:

1. Sniff
2. Scurry
3. Hem
4. Haw

who-moved-my-cheese

Sniff and Scurry are mice whereas Hem and Haw are 2 persons who are as little as mice. All 4 of them keep moving around the maze looking for cheese to feed them. Eventually, they land up at a cheese station that is full of cheese. Looking at the large quantity of cheese, they feel content and think that it will last them a lifetime. In life’s way, suddenly all the cheese disappears from the station leaving all four of them stunned. However, in reality, the cheese had been decreasing gradually but they failed to foresee it.

The story tells you what you are going to gain when you adapt yourself to the situations around you rather than to suffer at one place. Cheese, in this book, stands as a metaphor for all the things that we pursue in life. It may be a job, relationship or anything that holds significance to us.The maze is where you look for what you want – the organisation you work in, or the family or community you live in. The disappearance of cheese, in the book, implies to change.

I can't write more about the book because the book itself is very small. Despite the fact that one can finish it in 1-2 hours, it has great amount of thoughts and learning.

According to the author the book will help someone to:

  • Anticipate change

  • Adapt the change quickly

  • Enjoy change

  • Be ready to change again and again.

There is lot more story in the book that will make you think about what you are doing now and whether it is the time to change or not.

I will highly recommend this book to everyone. Read the book and enjoy it! It’s worth a read.

About the author:

DHCP: Dynamic host configuration protocol or Dynamic Heart configuration protocol.

Recently I was going through some Networking topics which I had studied in my college like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and some more. When I reached to DHCP server, I found it quite interesting. The server works in same manner as Boys' heart does.

Working of heart as a DHCP server:

Whenever a guy see a beautiful girl (IP address), he always thinks, this is the one I was searching for. His mind (the client) immediately sends a DISCOVER message to the heart (DHCP server) saying.. Is this the one? Please, tell me!

Heart being a server sends an OFFER message in reply- yes you are at right place. Go for it.

His mind which is not quite confident to approach, sends a REQUEST message again, you are right, I think, I am in love (Falling in love is very dynamic now a days). But I can't approach her (nervousness). Let it be.

His heart replies again with the final ACK (acknowledgement) - BE A MAN!!!

I think she is also interested. Go for it!!! And the heart gives him the feelings and confidence for a temporary period on lease.

As soon as the guy prepares his mind and reaches half the way, he finds the girl with a different guy having 2 cornettos in his hands.

His feelings and confidence get expires at the very moment. What left with him is the only thought, MOVE ON dude.

While moving on, if he finds a beautiful girl again, the client and server exchanges REQUEST-ACK messages again for renew of lease.

This is how the Dynamic Heart Configuration Protocol works. :P

The actual DHCP server working:

What is DHCP?

DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.

As the name suggests, DHCP is used to control the network configuration of a host through a remote server. DHCP is an excellent alternative to the time-consuming manual configuration of network settings on a host or a network device.

How DHCP Works?

Here are the steps :

Step 1: When the client computer (or device) boots up or is connected to a network, a DHCPDISCOVER message is sent from the client to the server.  The client enters the initializing stage during this step.

Step 2: When the DHCP server receives the DHCPDISCOVER request message then it replies with a DHCPOFFER message. The client enters selecting stage during this step.

Step 3: The client forms a DHCPREQUEST message in reply to DHCPOFFER message and sends it to the server indicating it wants to accept the network configuration sent in the DHCPOFFER message. The client enters requesting stage during this step.

Step 4: Once the server receives DHCPREQUEST from the client, it sends the DHCPACK message indicating that now the client is allowed to use the IP address assigned to it. The client enters the bound state during this step.

The Concept of Lease

With all the necessary information on how DHCP works, one should also know that the IP  address assigned by DHCP server to DHCP client is on a lease. After the lease expires, the DHCP server is free to assign the same IP address to any other host or device requesting for the same. The DHCP client tries to renew the lease after half of the lease time has expired. This is done by the exchange of DHCPREQUEST and DHCPACK messages. While doing all this, the client enters the renewing stage.

NOTE: The DHCP server is better than the heart, it actually provides IP address and bind it to the client for a particular time but the heart only provide feelings.  :P :-)

I am Satoshi Nakamoto and I invented bit-coins. Can I say that?

Yes, now a days it's a trend.

The first time I heard about Satoshi Nakamoto is when i read 'God is a gamer' a thriller by Ravi Subramanian. Satoshi Nakamoto is/was the inventor of Bit Coins or virtual money, based on cryptography and mathematics. As i completed the story, I was so curious to know about this person 'Satoshi Nakamoto'.

I searched for it and got many articles about the founder of bit-coins. The name SATOSHI NAKAMOTO is an alias given by the person who invented the bit-coins. Nakamoto worked with people on the open-source team, but took care never to reveal anything personal about him/herself. His/her real identity is still not known to anyone? Wherever you search, you will end-up with the same question. Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? For now i am going to refer Satoshi as a man.

what is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren’t printed, like dollars or rupees – they’re produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems. It’s the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.

Few days ago, I found a news that 'The father of Bitcoin revealed: Craig Wright says he's Satoshi Nakamoto'. It says, Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright publicly revealed himself as Nakamoto, showing cryptographic proof of his identity to media publications including the Economist and the BBC, as well as several prominent people form the Bitcoin community, an enormous cloud of doubt overshadowed his claims.

He digitally signed messages using some of the earliest bit-coin cryptographic keys, which are linked to Bitcoin blocks mined by Nakamoto himself.

craig-wright

"I created it with the help of other people", Wright said in an interview with BBC.

He also published a blog post on his website, explaining, how he proved he is Nakamoto. Later he hide all posts from his website and wrote for not giving any proof further and said he's sorry. read here.

The search for Satoshi, who invented bitcoins in 2008 is a mystery that has been puzzeling the IT world for a decade. Wright's decision for revealing his identity as Nakamoto is to end the seemingly endless media speculation about his identity.

Claimes and belives for Nakamoto before Craig Wright:

Some people belived Nakamoto is Michael Clear, a graduate cryptography student at Dublin's Trinity College. Later, Michael publicly denied it.

Adam Penenberg, claimed that Nakamoto are three people: Neal King, Vladimir Oksman, and Charles Bry.

Some people thinks that he is Japanese, because when bitcoin.org was registered in 2008, the registrant actually used a Japanese anonymous registration service, and
hosted it using a Japanese ISP.

Others think that it was Martii Malmi, a developer living in Finland who has been involved with bitcoin since the beginning, and developed its user interface.

And many more...

The question- Why did Wright stay silent till yet?

on asking this question from BBC he said, I don't want the public's spotlight on me, and that revealing my identity out of necessity.

"I want to work, I want to keep doing what I want to do. I don't want money. I don't want fame. I don't want adoration. I just want to be left alone," he said.

At the end of the interview he said, "I will never, ever, be on a camera ever again, for any station, or any media, ever."

Can we finally declared him Nakamoto?

Even if he presented cryptographic proofs that he is Satoshi, the doubt is always remains.

The Economist, leaves open the possibility that Nakamoto (who communicated only electronically and was never seen in person by anyone) is someone else entirely.

While Wright fits the profile of Nakamoto to a degree, it's possible that he obtained the cryptographic proof from someone else — perhaps prominent Bitcoin figure Hal
Finney, who died in 2014.

The Economic article added, "It may never be possible to establish beyond reasonable doubt who really created bitcoin,".

It's quite possible that Wright is one of Bitcoin's founders, or at least a key person in the cryptocurrency's development.

So now again one can say, I am Satoshi Nakamoto.
